Why We Use Affiliate Links
Running an independent review site takes real time and money: researching products, comparing specifications, reading hundreds of owner reviews, and maintaining this site. Affiliate commissions are how we fund this work and keep every guide free for you to read.
How It Works
- Some (not all) links on this site are affiliate links, mostly to Amazon.com
- If you click one and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the retailer
- The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to Amazon directly
- As required by the Amazon Associates Program, we identify ourselves as Amazon Associates on pages that contain Amazon links
Our Promise: Independence First
Commission never decides what we recommend. Our process:
- We recommend what we’d buy. Products are selected based on performance, durability, owner feedback, and value โ not commission rates
- We list products we don’t earn from. Some picks link to products or retailers with no affiliate program
- We say what’s wrong. Every review includes honest cons โ if a product has flaws, you’ll read about them
- We don’t accept payment for rankings. No brand can pay to be ranked #1 or to remove negative feedback
FTC Compliance
These disclosures are made in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.” Affiliate links on this site are intended to be clearly identified, and a general disclosure appears in our site footer on every page.
Other Programs
In addition to Amazon, we may participate in other retailer affiliate programs. Any such relationship does not change our editorial standards described above.
